Norman, Oklahoma ED Looks at Sales Tax Funding

The executive director of the Norman Economic Development Coalition hears it all the time, things like, “economic development programs just pay companies to come here.” But as he shares his vision and ideas for how he would grow Norman’s economy with a $5 million portion of the temporary, five-year half-cent sales tax if renewed by voters Aug. 22, he emphasizes one thing — paying for business is not what Norman’s economic development program is about.
