i have a disabled friend who is looking for a job, there are no jobs posted on the net (that I can find) which provide listings for disabled persons. You say you like to help people......

I never heard of listings for disabled people. I would be insulted if there were jobs especially for disabled people. If someone is disabled, as I am, they need to recognize what they are capable of and their limitations and apply for jobs that they would be capable of doing. There are so many options. To think someone will give you preferential treatment because of a disability will only hinder a job search and quite frankly, that attitude adds to the perception that disabled people are more trouble than they are worth. The best help is when you help yourself.

I am a disabled woman with three college degrees and I can't get a decent job ANYWHERE in the whole United States. I also have two sons who are disabled as well and they can't get a job anywhere either. What do you mean there are so many options? I'd like to know where these so called options are. I am so frustrated living on a social security income, not being able to make ends meet, not being able to properly feed my family and sitting on three college degrees hearing every employer tell me I'm not qualified to work for their company. I can barely pay my bills. I'd like to know where these places are and for your information, I am helping myself by continuing to get more, and more college degrees and I will continue to get more degrees until the government tells me I can't have anymore money. There are disabled people trying to help themselves but they still can't get ahead. Make sure you know the facts before you make statements like the best help is when you help yourself.
