Western Michigan Gains in Life Sciences
Michigan has given major attention to the development of its life sciences sector. Western Michigan has stepped up its efforts in this area. Since 2000, the Van Andel Institute in Grand Rapids has received more than $25 million in federal grants for this purpose.
