Check out what the 12-county Forward Future Initiative in the Piedmont and Mountain regions of North Carolina is doing. Regional strategies are not easy, as the leaders of the 13-county initiative are finding. In my assessment, North Carolina has done a better job in creating regional collaboration than most states.
